Eduardo Ono Terashima holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations from PUC-SP, a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from University College London-UCL, a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law from PUC-SP and a Law degree from PUC-SP. He has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration, having worked for 17 years as a lawyer and partner in one of the largest and most traditional law firms in Brazil. He has extensive experience with national and international clients from a wide range of sectors, including the financial market, agribusiness, life sciences, civil construction and the automotive industry, among others. He focuses his practice on pre-litigation consultancy and complex national and international disputes involving corporate, construction, regulatory, environmental, consumer and civil liability litigation, among others. He worked as a foreign associate in the international arbitration department of Baker Botts LLP London, in the UK, between 2012 and 2013. He acts as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings. He is a guest lecturer on postgraduate courses in arbitration and international law. He coordinates the Center for Studies in International Commercial Law at PUC-SP. He is a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee – CBAr. Recognized by the publication ‘Análise Advocacia 500’ for his work in the civil litigation and arbitration areas.
